Good Company Breaks
Good Company Breaks aim to create a familiar environment each time the young people stay with us. We achieve this by ensuring familiar faces, consistent care routines are followed, same bedroom allocation and decorating service users’ allocated bedroom with personal belongings is encouraged. Good Company breaks aim to help a young person develop confidence in staying away from home, so we offer a range of enjoyable activities to stretch and challenge them during their stay.
All children accessing the Good Company Breaks provision have an agreed plan of care that identifies their support needs. Stays are planned to occur at an agreed level at regular intervals throughout the year. Careful planning ensures that young people return each stay with the same groups, therefore encouraging new, and developing social relationships.
The breaks are generally funded via the local authority and require a regular allocation, usually a regular monthly pattern of sleepovers is established.
